Park School is a two-parallel F–5 school with about 230 students, centrally located in Aneby. This autumn, we will expand our operations with grade 6, which means two additional classes and an estimated student count of about 270. Therefore, we are looking for more engaged middle school teachers, preferably with a focus on mathematics and natural sciences.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a class teacher in grade 4 and contribute to the continued development of the middle school. The position includes:

• Class teacher responsibility for a grade 4
• Teaching mathematics and natural sciences also in the parallel class
• Close collaboration with the teacher who teaches Swedish and social studies in the grade
• Following students as they progress to higher grades, in accordance with the school's long-term structure
• Planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching based on governing documents, students' needs, and proven pedagogical methods
• Collaboration with colleagues and other functions within the school
• You will work systematically with formative assessment, documentation, and follow-up, and communicate continuously with students, guardians, and school management. You will use concrete materials, language and knowledge-developing approaches, and digital tools as natural elements in your teaching.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher for grades 4–6 with qualifications in mathematics and natural sciences. Qualifications in art and/or English are advantageous.

You have a good ability to create trusting relationships, clarify expectations, and communicate with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and actively contribute to collegial learning. You are willing to try new working methods and are happy to share your knowledge.

Personal suitability is highly valued. No prior experience is required, but experience is advantageous – especially if it has contributed to your development as a teacher.
